  Do not trust the emergency room Dr. My husband would be dead today if it wasn't for the V A. He was missed diagnosed. He was flown out of St.Jo's 2 days later. Not for C O P D but a COLLAPSED HEART valve. No stars for the E.R. The hospital is great!

  We are from Oregon and my son was at a soccer camp at Humboldt and broke his arm. We brought him in to the emergency room and it took a while to be seen. The first guy was nice and friendly but told us he did not think it was broken. Then we had to go down the hall and get registered which took forever. They told us it may be billed to us instead of our insurance because the computers go down from time to time. The actual time for putting on a temporary cast was ok. The most frustrating thing now is that we are back in Oregon and trying to get an orthopedic doctor to see him but are waiting for the records to get up here. We have called, faxed etc and still the speed of getting records is a snail pace. This is not cool when we are trying to get my son's arm seen up here but they can't without the records. Please have the patients in mind when you are dealing with this, it is important to do this quickly so timely care can be provided.
